THE ORP INTERNATIONAL AWARD, A PRESTIGE REFERENCE

The International ORP Foundation has the vocation of recognizing the effort, talent and commitment of companies, entities and professionals that stand out in the promotion, development and dissemination of initiatives that contribute to improving well-being in the field of work activity and optimize the value of people in companies.

For this reason, every year, coinciding with the celebration of the International ORP Congress, the International ORP Award is convened. Professional and public and private entities that accredit their commitment to the dissemination and application of the values ​​of occupational risk prevention and business innovation may attend these awards.

The reports submitted must, necessarily, express the most relevant issues related to labor welfare and the integral health of workers. Special attention will be given to proposals in which innovation plays a decisive role.

All initiatives that opt ​​for this prestigious international award must have demonstrated their effectiveness in a business environment, providing data that support their positive impact. Therefore, mere pilot experiences or punctual and external actions will not be acceptable.

The jury of the International ORP Award is made up of members of the Scientific Committee of the International ORP Foundation representing a dozen universities in the Americas, Asia and Europe.

DECISION OF THE JURY

The jury will meet in extraordinary session on 10 June 2025 at the headquarters of the Fundación Internacional ORP.

The day after the jury’s decision, a press conference will be held to announce the winner.

AWARD CEREMONY

The prize will be awarded during the ORP Award and Recognition Ceremony to be held in Cartagena de Indias on 31 July 2025.

First

The ORP International Foundation, together with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Universities organising the ORP Congress, announces the ORP International Award, the highest distinction awarded to a company, entity or professional of international scope with the aim of recognising its trajectory for the improvement of occupational health and safety management: prevention of occupational hazards.

Second

These awards are open to professionals, organisations, companies, corporations, public or private, who can demonstrate their commitment to the dissemination and application of the values of occupational risk prevention, with the aim of improving the management of health and safety at work: occupational risk prevention.

Third

The reports submitted must express, compulsorily, the most relevant issues related to working conditions that highlight the preventive policies in use in the organisation. Special attention will be paid to the sections on ORP and innovation.

Fourth

The documentation shall be submitted in triplicate and may be sent either by registered mail to the registered office of CERpIE, or delivered in person to the Secretariat, indicating on the envelope “INTERNATIONAL ORP PRIZE + year of the edition.

Fifth

The memoirs can be written in Spanish or English.

Sixth

Anyone wishing to compete for the Prize must provide documentary proof that there are no problems of reproduction of the image of persons appearing in the reports submitted, and that they have expressly obtained the necessary authorisations for the documents, images, music or any other content included in the same, assuming the responsibilities of any kind that may arise from non-compliance with this base.

Seventh

The Jury is empowered to interpret and complete the common and specific rules of this call for entries.

Eighth

The deadline for the acceptance of entries is (the closing date of the call for entries).

Ninth

Submission of entries implies acceptance of the rules and the Jury’s verdict. Works that do not meet the requirements established in the rules will not be accepted.

Tenth

The Jury will be made up of representatives of the entities organising the event. The Jury will assess the reports presented, taking into account their rigour, originality, initiative and effectiveness in reducing accidents at work and improving working conditions.
Consideration will be given not only to the impact produced in the short term, but also in the medium and long term.

Eleventh

The Prize may, at the Jury’s discretion, be declared void.

Twelfth

The Jury may award honourable mentions in those cases where they deem it appropriate. An International ORP Prize, consisting of a sculpture and a diploma, will be awarded to the selected professional, institution, company or organisation.
