REPORT

2014

Presentation

The Adi Group and the Polytechnic University of Barcelona have been working for years with a common objective: to disseminate the culture of occupational risk prevention. This work has been carried out, depending on the period, in different formats: congresses, seminars, conferences, forums, etc. Year after year, new associations and companies join this work, with the aim of further strengthening the work of raising awareness and disseminating the culture of occupational risk prevention. Sharing experiences, diagnosing problems, seeking solutions and exchanging information makes it possible to make progress towards this objective.

In this sense, and specifically in 2012, meetings were held in different cities in Spain with the aim of exchanging information on the most recent advances in trends, work methods and projects, ergonomics techniques and tools, safety, hygiene, occupational medicine, psychosociology, training and prevention management, and the integration of these under the concept of corporate social responsibility.

Public institutions, such as the Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work, the Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks, the European Agency or the territorial or autonomous community institutes, as well as the general directorates of labour, professional associations, companies, trade unions, prevention professionals and universities have all played a leading role. These actions have served to raise awareness, learn about, participate in, inform, promote, project and improve the quality of prevention services, the occupational health of workers and companies.

In 2013, with the support of the University of Zaragoza and the Government of Aragon, this cycle of conferences in Spain will be held once again. The aim of this report is to apply for a grant of 21,780.00 euros from the Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks to support the actions to be carried out during 2013.

Thanks to the support of companies and institutions, as well as the efforts of many professionals, dozens of specialists have debated on prevention and presented conclusions and research work. In 2012, 217,800.00 euros (VAT included) were invested in the organisation of events, logistics, media promotion, university dissemination, etc., hence the request to the Foundation for help and support for the efforts being made in 2013.

With the aim of disseminating and promoting Occupational Risk Prevention and Health in companies, various technical conferences have been planned for 2013. The events planned to date are as follows:

  • Zaragoza, March 2013
  • Barcelona, April 2013
  • Madrid, May 2013
