25th ORP Cartagena International Congress 2025: Three days that shaped the future of occupational safety

From 30 July to 1 August 2025, Cartagena de Indias became the global epicentre of innovation, technology and prevention in the workplace. The Cartagena de Indias Convention Centre hosted the 25th ORP International Congress, an event that exceeded all expectations by bringing together 1,817 attendees from 43 countries for three unforgettable days.

With an enriching and cutting-edge programme, the congress reaffirmed the ORP International Foundation’s commitment to building healthier, more sustainable, digital and humane work environments. Cartagena 2025 not only celebrated a quarter of a century of ORP congresses, but also laid the foundations for a new era of more humane, digital, innovative and comprehensive occupational safety.

The big ORPHEUS night: a tribute to those who are changing the future

Emotions ran high at the eagerly awaited ORPHEUS Night, an evening that combined recognition, inspiration and celebration. Several companies were presented with official awards for their advances in preventive culture, technological innovation and workplace well-being.

Among the award winners were initiatives focused on:

• Inclusion of people with functional diversity in industrial environments.
• Implementation of smart sensors in high-risk areas.
• Mental health projects in technology companies.
• Immersive training using virtual reality for high-risk operators.

The night was a tribute to those who believe that a more humane world of work is possible and work every day to build it.
