This time the venue for ORPHEUS Night is the famous Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, one of Spain’s most famous contemporary art museums designed by the Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry.
The most striking feature of the museum is the innovative building in which it is housed, consisting of curvilinear and twisted forms, covered with limestone, glass curtains and titanium plates.
It has a total surface area of 24,000 m², of which 11,000 m² are reserved for exhibitions, distributed in 20 galleries. It is located on the banks of the Bilbao estuary, in an area known as Abandoibarra, next to the La Salve bridge, which is surrounded by a hollow tower.
Currently, you can visit the work of the Austrian painter Oskar Kokoschka, with more than 140 works that extensively review the artist’s work, among other permanent and traveling exhibitions.
