From Monday until Thursday, Chile became the world capital of prevention, health and safety at work. The city of Santiago de Chile opened its doors to the ORP International Congress. More than 1,000 professionals from the occupational risk prevention sector participated in this international meeting that was held in various venues in the Chilean city: Ediificio Telefónica, Hospital de Trabajador, Espacio Riesco, Universidad de San Sebastián, ACHS, Hotel Gran Palace and Universidad de Chile.
The ORP International Congress is organised by the ORP International Foundation in collaboration with CERpIE, Centre for Research, Development and Business Innovation of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, UPC (Spain). The UPC leads 40 universities around the world that constitute the germ of the Scientific Committee of the Congress.
The ORP International Congress hosted more than 100 conferences given by professionals from 41 countries. The thematic and sectorial areas of the meeting focused on quality, ergonomics, environment, industrial hygiene, technology, innovation, occupational safety, occupational psychosociology, management of preventive activity or legal aspects of prevention, among others.
At this meeting, universities, research centres, professionals, companies and governments had the opportunity to explain, debate, discuss and propose practices and measures aimed at innovation that enable the healthy, safe and sustainable development of organisations.
