The challenges of OSH analyzed at the Ágora Bogotá ORP 2023
The Agora Bogotá Convention Center is the headquarters of the ‘Agora of Safety and Health: an unprecedented challenge’ organized by the ORP International Foundation, a new pre-congress event prior to the ORP Congress 2024 in Chile ‘AI at work: A new era for prevention’
From July 25 to 26 at the Ágora Bogotá ORP, a multidisciplinary analysis of the challenges that OSH addresses today will be carried out. Under the motto ‘Agora of Safety and Health’, and through presentations by world-renowned experts in their fields, the perspectives that AI poses for prevention, the future of creativity or digitalization will be presented. Professor Dr. Pedro R. Mondelo raised in his welcome speech the pending tasks that the sector must assume to achieve its highest objectives in well-being in the total elimination of risks. Among them are the goals to be overcome regarding shift work and its effects on the body, on a physical and mental level, of the affected people, as explained by Dr. Tomás Camacho, Head of the Clinical Analysis Service at the Vithas Lab. – Vigo at the inaugural conference ‘The dark side of the light: challenging the circadian rhythm’.
The ability to adapt to changes, resilience, to generate strategies that allow organizations to overcome uncertainty was the basis of the presentation by Dr. María Sofía Lioce, doctor specialized in occupational health and official scientist for the Institute of Health and US Occupational Safety Commission (NIOSH) and member of the Scientific Commission on Occupational Health of Health Workers of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH).
The emergence of AI, creativity in the communication of the future or the democratization of the digitalization of OSH are areas of work in this first session of the Ágora ORP 2023.
