The University of Minho, Universidade do Minho in Portuguese, is a public higher education institution that is part of the group of new Portuguese universities. It has four different campuses in Braga and another one in Guimaraes.
The different areas in Braga are: Largo do Paço where the rectorate and other government buildings are located, Campus de Gualtar where a large part of the Schools are located, the Higher School of Nursing is located in the Edifício dos Congregados and the Schools of Architecture and Engineering on the Campus de Azurém in Guimaraes.
