The Universidad Católica Boliviana ‘San Pablo’, (UCB), is a university belonging to the Bolivian University System, with its main campus in the city of La Paz, Bolivia. It is one of the most important and representative educational institutions in the country, being recognized in 2017 as one of the 300 best universities in Latin America. It was officially founded by Monsignor Gennaro Prata Vuolo on August 1, 1966 under the dependence and control of the Bolivian Episcopal Conference.
