The Fifth Additional Provision of the Law on Occupational Risk Prevention orders the creation of a Foundation, under the protectorate of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs -today, the Ministry of Employment and Social Security-, with the participation of both the Public Administrations and the representative Employers’ and Workers’ Organisations, whose main purpose is to promote, especially in small and medium-sized companies, activities aimed at improving health and safety conditions in the workplace.
In compliance with this provision, the Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks has been set up.
