Nueva Pescanova Group achieves recertification of the 5Z Excellence Seal

The Spanish multinational obtained an overall score of almost 4,600 points, guaranteeing the renewal of the 5Z Seal of Excellence until 2025 and highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to safety, sustainability, health and equality in the workplace.

Nueva Pescanova Group, a Spanish multinational specialized in fishing, cultivation, production and marketing of seafood, has obtained the recertification of the 5Z Excellence Seal. The first certification of this prestigious seal was awarded in 2021, far exceeding the 4,200 points necessary to achieve certification and has now exceeded that assessment with nearly 4,600 points.

The new audit carried out under the requirements of the 5Z Culture has reviewed the application of the methodology in: Zero accidents, Zero diseases, Zero waste, Zero inequalities and Zero ignorance. In addition, the auditors evaluated the areas of improvement and opportunities that emerged in 2021 and, among the values obtained in the 2023 fiscal year, the following stand out:

In Zero accidents: 100% compliance in accident investigation, road safety, training and information and participation processes.

In Zero diseases: achieves 100% compliance in health surveillance, first aid, occupational illness and absenteeism and presenteeism.

In Zero waste: achieves 100% compliance in environmental policy and management of solid waste, energy and water.

In Zero inequalities: it obtains 100% attention in terms of inclusion, equity, justice, organizational policy and management of situations of violence.

In Zero ignorance: achieves 100% compliance in training, organization, communication and digitalization.
