Digitalization to improve the collective care of people, the axis of the LEAN ORP Congress in Lima

The event, the first international congress on digitalization of OSH for a global company of Marsh Perú, has just been inaugurated in the Usil auditorium in Lima by Percy Mesias, Vice President Manager of Occupational Safety and Health of Marsh Perú S.A. Insurance brokers; the CEO of Marsh Peru, Nicolás Delgado; and by the Director of ORP, Professor Dr. Pedro R. Mondelo.

Not only are the advances in digitalization in the Occupational Health and Safety sector described and analyzed in the present at the LEAN ORP Congress in Lima. This event, the first international congress on OSH Digitalization for a global Marsh Peru company, represents a review with a focus on the short, medium and long-term digital future of the sector. The final objective, always, is the care of people, collective care, and companies have to play a first-level role from their organizational structure and their preventive culture.

This was stated during the inaugural session of the Lean ORP ‘Digitization of OSH for a global company’ -organized by the International ORP Foundation in collaboration with Marsh Perú S.A. Insurance Brokers- Percy Mesias, Vice President Manager of Occupational Safety and Health of Marsh Perú S.A. Insurance brokers; the CEO of Marsh Peru, Nicolás Delgado; and the Director of ORP, Professor Dr. Pedro R. Mondelo.

In the ceremony held in the Usil auditorium in Lima, Juan Pablo Fernandini, Managing Director of Central Employee Health & Benefits / Mercer Marsh Benefits of Marsh Latin America, also spoke, highlighting the importance of digitalization for companies.

On this first day, attendees, who have filled the auditorium, will delve into such important issues as the direct effect of working night shifts on people’s health. The opportunities of artificial intelligence in OSH, its critical surveillance, its complex management, the 5Z culture or the challenges and priorities of OSH governance in Latin America will also be studied, including the paradigms of emotional intelligence in mining.

Pre-congress meeting

The Lean ORP ‘Digitization of OSH for a global company’ is a pre-congress event of the ORP Congress 2024 in Chile whose motto will be ‘AI at work: A new era for prevention’.

In these three days, from Lima, the ORP International Foundation and Marsh Peru have taken on the challenge of concentrating the main axes of digitalization in Occupational Health and Safety. It is that way that allows generating new possibilities and opportunities for business management, for decision making and, of course, for obtaining a complete vision of the state of the preventive culture in an organization.
